Indigo Boot Camp
Indigo Boot Camp
Indigo came to me very energized and used her large size to be bossy. Over the course of 6 weeks of doggy boot camp, she was wearing a vest and acting as a service dog in no time. Her beautiful family consisted of a mom, dad, one year old baby brother, and two grandpas. A lot of Indigo's family were gentle people and couldn't be knocked around by a large lab. She needed to learn boundaries with her owners, and to also provide support if anyone needed an extra hand. We spent everyday together for 6 weeks, spending time in the house learning manners, walking slowly next to a walker, and wearing a service vest with a handle. If anyone in the family took a fall, they could call Indigo and use her for support to get back up. Indigo progressed quickly and became a joy to be around. Walking around downtown Redlands with her head high, proud of her new job, people were eager to come pet her and say hello. Indigo's journey went wonderfully, and everyone is very proud of her new skills.
